Grundfos recently welcomed 200 partners and customers to unveil new possibilities for reducing electricity consumption and improving energy efficiency in the buildings of the future.
The welcome was given during an event called “Explore NEXT”, which took place at the Grundfos headquarters in Bjerringbro, Denmark, where partners and experts took part in an innovation hack, focusing on co-innovation and co-creation of HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) and water system solutions.
“Today, 40 per cent of Europe’s total energy consumption comes from buildings. This means that if we don’t rethink the design systems of our buildings, and if we don’t do it quickly enough, we won’t be able to solve our world’s growing climate challenges. By working together with customers and partners, we are truly able to imagine the energy-efficient solutions we need for the future,” says Morten Bach Jensen, Managing Director of the Domestic Building Services Division.
The innovation hack was the final event after the Explore NEXT Truck Tour, in which the Explore NEXT truck travelled across Europe for eight weeks to liaise with partners and customers about the latest innovations in HVAC and water.
