At the beginning of May, a Grundfos delegation led by Stéphane Simonetta, Group Executive Vice President and Chief Industry Officer, visited Ghana, whose purpose was to attend meetings with partners, customers and other stakeholders, as well as to make the renewal of a Memorandum of Understanding between the company and the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources in this African country.
“I was pleased to represent Grundfos and sign the renewal of our collaboration with the ministry, continuing our joint efforts to ensure access to clean and affordable water for people in rural areas. We are proud of what is being done by our colleagues and our company here in Ghana,” said Stéphane Simonetta.
This memorandum includes water service improvements and energy efficiency projects, as well as training, services and additional collaboration on water and energy saving projects.
It should be noted that this partnership was launched in 2020 and Grundfos is currently making a difference for thousands of people in rural Ghana. In addition to this partnership, the Grundfos Foundation has been supporting an installer training programme at national technical schools and the installation of community toilets in the country.
