Pump replacement solves noise pollution at a major hotel in Indonesia

A busy hotel can be quite noisy, not only due to the guests, but also due to the appliances crucial to its operation, such as a pumping station, which can create strong vibrations that disturb and cause discomfort among guests.

For example, in Indonesia, the Grand Mercure Jakarta Harmoni hotel has already experienced serious noise problems and Grundfos’ authorised dealer, PT Toyasae Berkah Abadi (TBA), carried out an on-site installation check and discovered that the existing water supply pumps were old and extremely noisy.

As a solution, TBA replaced the old end suction pumps with a new, modern and efficient pumping system from Grundfos. The complete package included local VSD 4 CRIS-04@ 4 kW and professional installation and commissioning by the TBA team. With the new pumping system in place, the vibration and noise problems no longer existed. In addition, the new solution also proved to be more reliable and efficient than the previous one.
